CLIMATE

The climate around the Buffalo/Sheridan area is one of the most “live-able” climates in Wyoming with pleasant summers and moderate winters. Perhaps it’s the proximity to the 45th parallel along with the positioning next to the Bighorn Mountains and the lower altitude, but the Bighorn Mountain foothills have always been one of the most desirable places to live for those who have experienced it.

North Ridge Ranch is located in the Bighorn Mountain foothills on the prominent ridge just north of Buffalo, WY and can be accessed right out of Buffalo, or from paved Upper French Creek Road, and is about 30 minutes south of Sheridan, WY.

The historic western town of Buffalo is scenic and quaint at the foot of the Bighorn Mountains. Furthermore, and more distinctly, Sheridan is home to the annual WYO Rodeo, world-class polo, Brinton Museum, Don King Days and many other uniquely “Sheridan” lifestyle events that are sure to please everyone. For further shopping and air service, one can find it in Billings, or Casper, each about two hours away. Furthermore, the Bighorn Mountains are only 30 minutes to the west, where you’ll find all the outdoor recreation you can imagine.

Gillette, Wyoming, east of the Ranch on Interstate 90 has commercial air service with connecting flights to several major hubs including Denver and Salt Lake City. Gillette also offers additional services for building supplies and equipment to satisfy nearly all the needs on the ranch.
